The communication and social media expert Petra Manninger and lawyer Arthur Stadler hold an one-day seminar for lawyers on the subject of "Social Media & Law - Best cases for legal practice". The practical section deals with hints and trends on user behavior, customer service, image cultivation, public relations as well as employee sensitisation. The legal section covers the legal framework and current jurisprudence of national and European courts. Further, relevant aspects of media law, competition law, copyright and personal protection law, as well as criminal and civil law consequences in the case of – inter alia – violence glorification and incitement will be addressed. Moreover, current examples and judgments concerning the responsibility of platforms and/or users for content and (false) information on social media will be discussed.
