In its decision of 10 January 2019, the Higher Regional Court of Munich ("OLG") in case 29 U 1091/18 issued second instance ban on the terms and conditions of Amazon's Dash Buttons, as these would not meet the requirements of an effective sales contract in electronic commerce. The Amazon Dash Button is a device that is connected to WLAN via an app and sends signals when an electromechanical button, the so-called "Button", is pressed, whereby a previously selected product is ordered. Even if the user when using the app can cancel an order within 15 minutes free of charge, the mere pressing of the button is in fact sufficient to trigger an order process. "A small button attached to the coffee machine ensures that replenishment never falters. As soon as the capsules run out, one push on the button is enough to order new coffee from Amazon. The customer can reorder toothpaste, detergent or razor blades just as easily"
